Pipeline Defect Assessment Course Overview

Penspen tutors will guide you through from an introduction to basic pipeline engineering principles to risk and integrity management and analysis. We will discuss why pipelines fail and discuss basic theory for the assessment of corrosion defects, gouges, dents, cracks and weld defects.

Course Objective

This course will:

  • Present methods available to assess the significance of defects detected in onshore and offshore pipelines;
  • Give an introduction to fracture mechanics and fatigue; and also introduces fundamental analytical methods used to assess pipeline defects.

16th-18th March 2021 and continuing on 23rd-25th March 2021

Delivered virtually, this course will take place in 6 half day modules, from 09:00 AM-13:00 PM.
